The assembly member for Mmorontoc electoral area in the Bosomtwe constituency, Hon Maxwell De-Graft Boakye has indicated that their District Chief Executive, Honorable Yaw Danso has brought shame to the people in the area.

In a conversation with Sompa news, the assemblyman asserted that the gravity of the shame brought to the constituency by the DCE is immeasurable.

Honorable Yaw Danso’s name popped up as the only district chief executive who was accused as of engaging in illegal mining transactions per audio making rounds on various social media platforms, a situation described by the assembly member as unacceptable and a disgrace to the district.

Hon De-Graft said, the decision by the local government ministry to investigate Hon Yaw Danso must be expedited.

The president of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo in a media engagement after deliberations with MMDCES and the National House of Chiefs on illegal mining at the Manhyia palace stated that the local government ministry will investigate the said audio.

According to the president, the honorable DCE will be assembled by a committee to probe further on the said allegations.
