The minority member of Parliament for Tamale North Constituency Alhassan Suhuyini has expressed his dissatisfaction in the increase of hajji fares.
Speaking at a press conference held in Parliament, he stated that the fares announced by the hajji board for potential pilgrim flying from Ghana at the cost of Gh¢ 75,000 is disincentive and has been inflated and it's unacceptable because of economic hardship.
Mr. Allassan Sayibu Suhuyini who is a former hajji board member noted that in 2016 the fares for hajji was charged for US$ 3,450 but has increased to US$6,500 in this Year.
He therefore called on Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia to act and do something on the fares to enable Muslims perform their religious mandate as he promised to represent muslims at the Jubilee house.
