Former Minority Leader, Haruna Iddrisu lives an ordinary life and is easily accessible to constituents anytime he visits.

On many occasions, the Tamale South lawmaker plays football with the youth, and rides motorbikes and bicycle to the shock of those who do not know that part of him.

It is common to spot him playing ‘Oware’ and engaging in indoor games with residents in various suburbs a practice that predates when he became a lawmaker.

In other instances, he attends social gatherings as an ordinary guest and allows constituents to meet and interact with him which has cemented the bond between him and residents.

This has always made him the toast of residents for which reason he commands a lot of support in the Northern Region and beyond with political pundits suggesting he is an entire ‘course’ in politics that must be studied in schools.

An image of Haruna Iddrisu and colleague Member of Parliament (MP) for Tamale North Constituency, Alhaji Alhassan Sayibu Suhuyini has gone viral on social media in which the two were spotted breaking their fast with a section of constituents.

Unlike other lawmakers who build ‘human walls’ around them, the two are seen beaming with smiles and cracking jokes in one of the suburbs.

It is established that the picture was taken last Saturday evening when the two went to their constituency after parliament went on recess on Friday March 31, 2023.
