Presidential hopeful for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Hon. Kennedy Agyapong has vowed to make Ghana a country free from borrowing if voted to lead after the 2024 general elections.
The vociferous politician highlighted that whatever a white can do, a black man can equally do better hence the need for awakening to take destiny into their hands.
He made this statement at the Central Regional Teachers Hall Complex in Cape Coast following his seven-day delegate tour in the region.
According to him, it's long overdue for the country to outlive begging other countries for financial support.
In a conversation with Sompa TV/FM reporter Eric Annan he said, the country is stagnated in a borrowing spree, and that must change.
The outspoken politician said the country is blessed with resources, citing Kintampo to Paga acres of land as a means to change the narrative.
The presidential hopeful assured to use of the country's five Northern Regions to feed the whole of Africa should he be elected flag-bearer for the NPP and subsequently be voted president of Ghana in the next election.
Akompreko, as affectionately referred to further eulogized Vice President Bawumia's digitalization initiative but added there's more to be done on it, as he promised to build a technology city between Cape Coast and Komenda as witnessed in foreign countries like India, China, and America.
On account of rewarding sacrifices made by selfless party members recounted to delegates to have nothing to show for it, which shouldn't be so.
