Member of Parliament for Komenda-Edina-Eguafo-Abrem (KEEA) constituency in the Central Region, Hon. Samuel Atta-Mills has announced to share in his late brother and former president of Ghana, H.E John Evans Atta-Mills' vision of empowering the youth to fill in the gap of political veterans in the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
He recalled the yeoman's job facilitated by his late brother whiles alive to have the likes of John Dramani Mahama, Felix Ofosu-Kwakye, Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, Dr. Edward Omane Boamah, Hon. Cassiel Ato Forson and the party's current General Secretary, Fiifi Faivi Kwetey who were then youths to presently gain grounds in the NDC by personally inspiring them.
A trait he assured the KEEA NDC youth wing to continue from where his late brother left off to invest more in them, coupled with better employment opportunities should he retain his MP seat come May 13 and subsequently have the NDC assume power in the 2024 general election.
Hon. Samuel Atta-Mills declared this at the constituency's youth wing general meeting themed "Rallying For Victory 2024" held at his residence in Elmina.
He advised the youth wing to desist from insult in their style of politicking to guard against any future regret over utterances made today as they pose the party's future.
The well-attended program saw highly revered party members such as the Central Regional NDC Deputy Youth Organizer, Abeiku Essien, the MP himself, and the KEEA NDC Youth Organizer, Matthew Attipoe together with his deputies.
Also in attendance was Ghana's Former Premix Committee Chairman, John Quayson (Maanoma), Mr. Bernard Ahianyo, a former NDC Central Regional Secretary and the Senior Policy Adviser to both the KEEA MP and Hon. George Ricketts-Hegan, MP for Cape Coast South constituency among others.
Matthew Attipoe, Youth Organizer for KEEA speaking to Sompa TV's Eric Annan highlighted that the awe-inspiring meeting will go a long way to secure the party victory in the upcoming 2024 general election as he promised to do double of what his predecessors did for the constituency.
