The National Democratic Congress (NDC) Chairman for Abura-Asebu-Kwamankese (AAK) constituency in the Central Region, Vincent Koomson has tasked the parliamentary aspirants, Felix Ofosu Kwakye and Prof. Nana Ama Browne Klutse to put their supporters in check for peace to reign in the constituency's parliamentary election slated for Saturday, May 13, 2023.
The Constituency Chairman bemoaned the fact that Abura-Asebu-Kwamankese some few days back was in the news following an attack launched on a campaign vehicle of Prof. Nana Ama Browne Klutse at Moree by some peeved supporters of Felix Ofosu Kwakye.
An action he recalled to have unearthed tension in the constituency pending its parliamentary election scheduled to hold at Abura Dunkwa come Saturday.
Chairman Vincent Koomson in an interview with Sompa News reporter Eric Annan asked both aspirants to have a word with their supporters to behave properly during polls and to respect the constitution governing the NDC party going into its tight parliamentary contest having been in the news for the bad reason.
Aspirant, Prof. Nana Ama Browne Klutse on the issue of unrest at the constituency prior to its internal party election has appealed to the security service, leadership of the NDC party, and delegates to allow peace reign in AAK.
She recounted to be the one to suffer the most should the area's parliamentary election escalate into an uproar having disclosed to have all her family members reside within the constituency hence subscribes for peace to have a better share during poll tomorrow.
