Members of Parliament have been recalled from recess for the commencement of the 2nd meeting of the 3rd session of the 8th Parliament of the 4th republic.
The House is expected to reconvene on Tuesday, June 6, 2023
In a statement signed by Speaker of Parliament in pursuant of Order 37 of the Standing Oders of Parliament which reads, "I, Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin hereby given notice that the Second Meeting of the Third Session of the Eight Parliament of the Fourth Republic shall commence on Tuesday, 6th day of June 2023 at Ten O'clock in the forenoon at Parliament House, Accra".
The House went on recess on Friday, 31st March, 2023, after a long night approving three new tax revenue bills . However, Parliament was recalled for a day's sitting on Tuesday, May 2, 2023, to approve some seven (7) loans agreement amounted to US$ 750 million for the financing of various projects pursued by President Akufo-Addo led government.
