Communications Officer for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Central Region, Gabriella Tetteh has implored the people of Assin North to forcefully demand for the completion of their recently attended to roads by the New Patriotic Party (NPP) amid the party's disappointing defeat in the constituency's just ended by-election.
According to her, the NPP having abandoned construction of the area's road network which got issued to a contractor since 2020, intentionally reverted to continue it just to score cheap political points in the recently held Assin North by-election which later left them in tartarus following the outcome of the election.
She expressed that should indigenes of Assin North sit aloof, they will have the NPP redraw all the tools being used in the construction of their roads back to Accra, thus should man up to demand the complete fixing of their roads.
The fine communicator highlighted that the people of Assin North have a District Chief Executive (DCE) in the shape of Hon. Charles Ohene Andoh, hence should require the completion of their road from him.
She again ordered the NPP to re-fix the Assin Asempanaye- Assin Kushea road stretch which currently lies in bad state after been hastily attended upon with a coaltar.
Gabriella Tetteh reiterated that the people of Assin North demanding for the complete fixing of their roads is a step in the right direction considering the area's enormous contribution offered to the development of Ghana.
The NDC Central Regional Communications Officer disclosed that the quantum of cocoa, annually derived from Assin North to boost the country's economy is mind-boggling, therefore, places them on a good pedestal to demand for its quarter of the national cake.
She further advised natives of the constituency to take key note on the NPP's ongoing developmental projects at Assin North to be their basis to determine who to vote for in the pending 2024 general election.
