Vice President Dr. Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia has attributed himself to be the National Democratic Congress (NDC) nightmare following his decision to contest in the New Patriotic Party's (NPP) presidential race.
Having had ten (10) personalities pick form to run for the race, Dr. Bawumia has narrated to be the candidate the NDC is frightened of following the threat he poses as far as the 2024 general election is concern.
He said this in a meeting with party executives (delegates) of Kissi in the Komenda-Edina-Eguafo-Abrem (KEEA) constituency in the Central Region on Monday, July 31, 2023 in his day three campaign tour in the region.
The presidential candidate in his address to party executives quizzed to find out why the NDC always have his name called out in their discussions, leaving aside the other nine presidential candidates if not for the fear of him.
Dr. Bawumia recounted to appear as one who well knows the country's political terrain and the most experienced among his compatriots having gone on four presidential elections as running mate to subsequently rise to become veep in the last two general elections.
He further rubbished the propaganda levelled against him to have come no far with NPP upon his introduction into the political party in 2008 to label himself as the Paul of the NPP's time.
Frederick Opare-Ansah, a former Member of Parliament for Suhum and a former Deputy Minister of Communications under the Kufuor administration who doubles as a Campaign Member for the presidential candidate in an engagement with the media described Dr. Bawumia to be one who has demonstrated of being capable to protect the public purse when given the nod.
