Member of Parliament for Akim Oda Constituency in the Eastern Region, Hon. Alexander Akwasi Acquah has impelled the New Patriotic Party's (NPP) Cape Coast North Women's Wing in the Central Region to convey its gossip and unnecessary insults to campaign for the elephant fraternity to actualize its national agenda of 'breaking the 8' in the 2024 general election.
Hon. Akwasi Acquah emphasized that women, when positively gets involve in any project, yields multiplicity. Hence the need for the NPP Women's Wing unflinching involvement.
The MP made this statement at the relaunching of the Cape Coast North NPP Women's Wing on Sunday, October 29, 2023 in Cape Coast on the theme: 'Breaking The 8 Together'.
He stressed that it befalls on women to fill a church auditorium, gossip and to lambaste which are all needed in politics. Thus charged the Cape Coast North Women's Wing to direct its workforce to the party's grassroot for the betterment of the NPP.
Women's Organizer for Cape Coast North, Eunice Aba Sackey in an interview with Sompa News Eric Annan ascertained the sudden dwindling of members eagerness to work for the party to be the driving force for the organisation of the program which witnessed the presence of well revered personalities in the elephant fraternity.
She further addressed that the NPP's adopted 'breaking the 8' slogan appears a possible and achievable phenomenon, as she consequently encouraged the party's women's wing to wholeheartedly get involve through love and unity.
Horace Ekow Ewusi, the NPP's former Central Regional Chairman and a Cape Coast North Parliamentary Candidate having graced the occasion with his presence, recounted the program to have gone beyond what he anticipated, as he shared optimism for calmness in the NPP after its flagbearership race slated for November 4 which he asserted will see the party break the 8.
