New Patriotic Party (NPP) Suame constituency Chairman Count Duker Abban has said the whole Suame Constituency was heavily disturbed at the news of the former Majority leader Hon. Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu being hounded out as the Majority Leader.
According to Suame NPP Chairman, news of their MP being forced to retire as the majority leader dazed party supporters in the area because their MP who had served them for close to three decades had not communicated the news to them.
But speaking to SOMPA NEWS, Chairman Count Duker Abban however commended the NPP party leadership for the matured way the issue was handled at the end, insisting that the party has come out of the issue with a spirited vision of providing Ghanaians the best leadership.
He asserted that the earlier anxiety that greeted the whole brouhaha has finally settled down adding the party was now prepared in their quest to break the eight.
Earlier today, Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu, the Member of Parliament for Suame, officially declared his resignation as Majority Leader. He made this announcement in Parliament on Friday, February 23, clarifying that the decision was solely his and not influenced by external pressure, as speculated in some media reports.
But Chairman Count Duker Abban maintained that the former Majority leader would fondly be missed in the constituency due to several years of dedicated years of service to the people of Suame and NPP as a party. He wished him the best of luck in his next endeavours.
