Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, popularly known as Napo, will be officially unveiled as the running mate of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer, today, Tuesday, July 9, in Kumasi.
The National Council of the NPP endorsed Dr Prempeh on July 5, receiving widespread support from top party officials, including President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
Dr Prempeh expressed gratitude to Dr. Bawumia and committed to working for a decisive victory in the 2024 elections.
With his new role, the Manhyia South Parliamentary seat is vacant, and nominations are open.
The 2024 presidential election will feature the NPP’s Dr. Bawumia and Dr. Prempeh against the NDC’s John Dramani Mahama and Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang.
