The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the opposition NDC Andrews Augustus Nana Akwasi has laughed of prediction by the running mate of the NPP Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh to the effects that the NPP was on course to win 85% of the total votes in the region on December 7th elections.

According to Nana Akwasi, Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh as the Member of Parliament for Manhyia South for four terms could give the NPP 85% votes in the constituency and finds this new vision as untenable.

He claimed that the NPP has performed abysmally and they would rather see their votes reduced in the region because most people in the region has seen the deception in the Nana Addo/Dr. Bawumia administration.

During his unveiling in Kumasi on Tuesday July 9th, 2024, Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh, popularly called NAPO, asserted that no president, including Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, has developed Ghana like President Akufo-Addo has done since 2017.

But Andrews Augustus Nana Akwasi in his humble observation said the statement from Dr. NAPO was clear indication that he did not pay attention to the advice Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu gave him during his introduction to Manhyia yesterday.

He asserted that Dr. NAPO needs to work hard to deflate the arrogance tag because that would work against him in the long run.
