The Member of Parliament for Nsawam Adogyire constituency of the Eastern region, Hon. Frank Annoh Dompreh has been sworn in as the new board chairman of the road fund management.
The MP was appointed by President Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo Addo on Tuesday 16th July 2024.
Speaking at the swearing-in ceremony, the Minister for roads and highways Francis Asenso Boakye highlighted the achievement of government in the road development.
He charged the new board to champion maintenance culture of the constructed road.
Mr. Asenso-Boakye touted what he termed, the stellar record of the Akufo-Addo administration in road infrastructure, constructing roads at a rate three times better than the Mahama administration.
The Bantama lawmaker recognises the importance of maintenance culture in improving upon the existing road network in the country.
He noted that, "since 2017 to date government has added 12, 800 to the road network."
The swearing-in ceremony of the new board members of the Road fund included Nsawam Adoagyiri MP Frank Annoh Dompreh, Chief Director at the Local Government Ministry, Amin Abdul-Rahaman and Acting Controller and Accountant General Kwasi Agyei.
