Member of Parliament for Bolgatanga Central, Hon. Isaac Adongo has made a firm stance on the competency of both running mates for the New Patriotic Party and the National Democratic Congress going into the 2024 general elections.
According to the Bolgatanga Central MP, Ghanaians comparison of Hon. Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh (Napo), running mate of the NPP to Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, running mate for the NDC, is like comparing day and night which he noted to be impossible.
He made this statement after the TAIN-UCC Alumni Connect, held on the theme, "Empowering Youth: Unlocking Potentials For A Better Ghana."
The Bolgatanga Central MP remarked that for the NDC to obtain majority in parliament, they can not start jubilating and be complacent for leading projections conducted ahead of the December 7 polls, but ought to work hard to actualize the predicted surveys.
He described Prof. Jane Opoku-Agyemang to be an epitome of leadership and capacity, unlike Napo who is only but a Dentist and has to be in the consulting room.
National Deputy Communications Officer for the NDC, Malik Basintale at the event shared worry over the fact that the ordinary Ghanaian youth is in deep suffering because what is meant to be a national cake, is now been shared among family members.
He urged government to make the corridors of opportunity available to every Ghanaian, as the chank amount of opportunities witnessed in the country is only channelled towards just one corridor which is through the appointees of government.
Malik Basintale further outlined that considering Ghana's current economical woes, the country doesn't need a President presently but a nation builder in the shape of John Dramani Mahama, since the nation is now at crossroads.
Former Youth and Sports Minister, Elvis Afriyie Ankrah in an engagement with the media, recounted the Nana Addo-led NPP administration to have performed abysmally on the path of corruption, having promised the nation heaven on earth.
Hence, warrants Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Ghana's Vice President and flagbearer for the NPP no chance in the 2024 general election to be given even a second more to lead the country in whatsoever capacity.
