The Member of Parliament for Komenda-Edina-Eguafo-Abrem (KEEA) Constituency in the Central Region, Hon. Samuel Atta-Mills has charged students of Komenda College of Education to actively get involve in politics, since the future of Ghana lies on them.
According to him, the country is for the youth and not the aged, as those of them with grey hair and beards have had time catch up on them. Thus, the need for the youth to shape the future to fit and benefit them by getting involve in politics.
He made this statement at the Komenda College of Education, when he delivered a 43-inch television to the college through its Tertiary Education Institutions Network (TEIN) of NDC executives to be handed over to the school, upon a request made.
Hon. Samuel Atta-Mills remarked that the television donated in good faith, in as much as it can be a blessing to students of the college, can concurrently be a curse to them depending on the addictiveness they attach to watching it.
He admonished the need for students of the college to watch TV to get to know the outrageous acts being perpetrated under the current Nana Addo-Bawumia regime.
The KEEA MP urged youths in the country to speak truth to power, since there are so many abnormal things going on in the nation, like what galamsey is doing to Ghana's water bodies which the youth need to fight for it and straighten it up.
Justice Goku, the TEIN President for Komenda College of Education and his executives following the kind gesture done them by Hon. Samuel Atta-Mills, wholly appreciated the Member of Parliament for the television and assured to make good use of it, noting that the TV will aid in their learning as trainee teachers.
