Aggrieved Zoomlion employees appeal for gov't intervention, as their 12-month salary arrears lock-up

Some aggrieved workers of the Zoomlion Ghana Limited (ZGL) in the Sunyani Municipality have called for the government intervention for the company to them their 24-month salary arrears.

According to the visibly angry workers, mostly casual employees, they were now struggling to meet their family needs.

Speaking to Nana Poku Piesie on the Sunyani-based Sompa FM's "Ka Ma Sem Mame" social programme, the workers noted that non-payment of their salaries had affected their ability to pay their children's school fees and other expenses as the 2026/2027 academic calendar begins.

They worried that the company which had failed to pay them their outstanding salaries had also laid them off and appealed for the government's intervention.
