Assembly member appeals for rehabilitation of Abesim Ankrana River bridge

Mr Kinsley Kusi Appiah, the Assembly Member for the Abesim Ankobea Electoral Area in the Sunyani Municipality has called on the assembly to repair a broken bridge on the Ankrana River in the area.

He noted that the present condition of the bridge was a death trap to especially school children and women who crossed the river every day.

In an interview with Sompa FM at Abesim, Mr Appiah said the rains had worsened the condition of the bridge, making it difficult for the people to cross the river.

He also appealed to wealthy citizens of the area, NGOs, corporate bodies and philanthropists to come to their aid.
