The Most Reverend Bishop Matthew Kwasi Gyamfi, the President of the Ghana Catholics Bishop's Conference (GCBC) has criticized the unending calls for the resignation of Mr Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, the Minister of Foreign Affairs.
The minority in parliament is insisting that the sector minister resigns over what it described as lack of accountability over the evacuation of Ghanaians-based in South Africa during the Xenophobic attacks in that country.
But, speaking to Sompa FM in Sunyani, Mt Rev Gyamfi, also the Catholic Bishop of the Sunyani Diocese described the calls as unnecessary.
Mt Rev Gyamfi said both the majority and minority in parliament ought to put the interest of the nation above their partisan interest and ambitions.
