Collectively Protect Commissioned Health Centre Since It Knows No Political Lines— Deputy Majority Leader Urges Brofoyedur Residents

The Deputy Majority Leader of Parliament and MP for Cape Coast South Constituency in the Central Region, has charged residents of Brofoyedur to collectively protect and maintain their newly commissioned health centre, stressing that the facility transcends political affiliations and is intended to serve the entire community.

Speaking at the commissioning of the facility on Thursday, 3rd September, 2026, the legislator asserted that healthcare is a fundamental necessity that should not be subjected to partisan considerations, as residents of different political persuasions would equally require access to quality healthcare.

He therefore urged the people of Brofoyedur to take ownership of the facility and safeguard its infrastructure, equipment and other resources to ensure that it remains functional and beneficial to the community for years to come.

He explained that irrespective of which government, political party or stakeholder contributed to the establishment of the facility, its ultimate purpose was to improve the wellbeing of residents.

He therefore appealed to residents to put aside partisan differences and unite around the protection and effective utilisation of the facility.

According to him, political differences should never prevent people from benefiting from essential social amenities such as healthcare facilities.

According to Cape Coast Metropolitan Mayor hon.George Justice Arthur maintaining cleanliness at the health facility is crucial and it's ensure quality healthcare delivery for all.

He called on the citizenry to take ownership of the facility, avoid indiscriminate littering, desist from nuisance noise and support health workers to keep the centre in good condition at all times.

The Cape Coast Metropolitan Health Director, Mr. Samuel Kwabena Ofosu, has advised health professionals to deliver health services with care, devoid of discrimination and favouritism.

According to him, every patient who visits a health facility deserves equal attention, respect and quality care irrespective of their social background, ethnicity or status.
