MTN Ghana Reaffirms Dedication Towards Oguaa Fetu Afahye with GH¢30,000 Cash Donation

MTN Ghana has donated GH¢30,000 in cash, GH¢2,000 worth of airtime and an assorted drink hamper to the Oguaa Traditional Council towards this year’s Fetu Afahye celebrations.

Mr. David Woasey, Area Manager, MTN Western and Central, presented the items on behalf of the company at the Oguaa Palace on Thursday.

He congratulated the chiefs and people of Oguaa on the festival and wished them a peaceful and successful celebration.

Mr Woasey said MTN Ghana was marking 30 years of operations in Ghana this year under the theme, “30 Years of Progress, Powered by You.”

He said the company’s Ambition 2030 strategy focused on connectivity, fintech and digital infrastructure.

Mr. Woasey said the strategy sought to expand network access, deepen financial inclusion and strengthen digital infrastructure to support Ghana’s development.

Receiving the items on behalf of Osabarimba Kwesi Atta II, Omanhen of Oguaa, the Secretary of the Fetu Afahye Planning Committee, Elicot Nana Kweku Okyere, thanked MTN Ghana for the contribution.

He said the contribution would help towards the organisation of the annual celebration.

This year’s Fetu Afahye is expected to attract thousands of people from across Ghana and beyond to Cape Coast.
