Mr Prince Yeboah Marfo, an educationist has condemned the reported incidents of growing sexual abuses in schools.
He described those nefarious acts as unprofessional and a breach of trust, saying that teachers had the responsibility to protect students, and not to abuse them sexually.
Speaking to Ama Konadu on the Sunyani-based Sompa FM 'Adeakye Abia' morning show on Tuesday, Mr Marfo, also former Principal of the Berekum College of Education said educational institutions ought to prioritize students' safety and welfare.
Mr Marfo called on the Ghana Education Service to strictly enforce its code of conduct by ensuring that offending teachers were punished severely and to serve as deterrent to like-minded others.
