Traders in Sunyani, the Bono Regional capital have backed the nation's measures put in place to bring sanity on the highways and stem road crashes and the attendant needless fatalities.
They are calling for punitive sanctions against reckless drivers, recommending that drivers who make phone calls while journeying as well as those who over sped and disregard road traffic signs and regulation. ought to be punished severely.
The traders made the call when they spoke randomly with Sompa FM in Sunyani, urging strict enforcement of the measures.
A fruit seller, Grace Pomaa noted that the reforms and measures were necessary and recounted an incident where a driver nearly knocked her down while using the road.
