Tano North MP presents spraying machines to cocoa farmers

Dr Gideon Boako, the Member of Parliament for Tano North Constituency in the Ahafo Region has presented 84 cocoa spraying machines to farmer groups in the constituency.

Speaking at a ceremony at Duayaw-Nkwanta, Dr Boako hoped that the machines would greatly control diseases and improve cocoa productivity and quality beans in the area.

He urged the groups to ensure that the machines were distributed to the farmers accordingly and devoid of partisan considerations.

Mr Albert Kwame Asumang, the Tano North Municipal Cocoa Officer urged the farmers to use only authorised and approved cocoa chemicals recommended by the Ghana Cocoa Board (COCOBOD) for effective disease and pest control.

Some of the cocoa farmers expressed their appreciation to the MP for the assistance and pledged to take proper care of the machines and use them for the intended purposes as well.
