Gutsy performance by the Black Stars - Nana Addo

Black stars were beaten by their counterpart from Portugal in a thrilling encounter that produced one of the tournament's moments.

The Blackstars rose to the occasion after being pipped by a goal courtesy of Christiano Ronaldo’s penalty.

The president of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwah was in Qatar to inspire the stars have offered words of encouragement amid their loss.

He wrote on his official Facebook account expressing joy in their performance and wishing them well in their subsequent matches.

He wrote:
