The Bono Regional Minister, Hon. Justina Owusu Banahene has presented GHC 5,000.00 to support Bofoakwa Tano F.C as part of its preparation for the playoff against Techiman Eleven Wonders.
Eleven Wonders and Bofoakwa Tano will fight for a place in next season’s betPawa Premier League on Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at the Accra Sports stadium.
Eleven Wonders won the race in Zone One A as Bofoakwa Tano picked the slot in Zone One B to book their place for the championship playoff.
Zone One of the Access Bank Division One League was split into two zones due to lack of resources in the Zone especially the three Northern Regions and the seeming tension and violence that have characterized the Zone in the last couple of seasons.
Madam Owusu Banahene during the presentation of the money in Sunyani on Wednesday May 24 encouraged the players and other technical team members to endeavor to give out all their best to make the region proud.
She indicated, "the qualification of Bofoakwa Tano FC into the premier league would uplift the image of the Sunyani township saying, “majority of the people of Sunyani are football lovers but none of our darling clubs is in the premier league, I pray for hard work and good luck for Bofoakwa Tano FC to emerge the winners.”
