Winners of the BETpawa Ghana Premier league, Medeama Sporting Club (SC) have called on the Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Hon. Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin to present the trophy and also with a request for him to be adopted as the Patron of the Club.
In his acceptance statement, Mr. Speaker expressed his happiness and deemed it an honour to become the Patron of Medeama Sporting Club.
He congratulated the Board, Management, Technical Team and the Players for winning the 2022/2023 Betpawa Ghana Premier league.
Mr. Speaker added that, football is now a business and called for more investments to provide logistics and infrastructure in sports.
The team was accompanied by the GFA President Kurt Okraku, Deputy Minister of Lands and Natural Resources and MP for Tarkwa Nsuaem Hon. Mireku Duker, Chairman of the club, Dr. Anthony Kwesi Aubynn, Owner of the club Mr. Moses Armah and some other officials of Medeama SC.
