The University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR) were the champions for the Volleyball competition of the maiden edition of Sompa Tertiary Games held on Saturday July 15.

The natural resource institution won the male volleyball competition.

Obed Sarfo of UENR was the best male volleyball player for the games.

Three (3) tertiary institutions; University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR), Sunyani Technical University (STU) and the College of Health, Yamfo competed in Football, Volleyball, Table Tennis and Basketball in the maiden edition of Sompa Tertiary Games.

Meanwhile, College of Health (CoH), Yamfo were the winners of the soccer games of the competition.

STU were the winners of the Table Tennis competition with their ladies winning the Volley Ball competition.

Akona Hafsah of the institution took away the female best volleyball player.

Kwoyire Rex was also adjuged the best basketball player.

The school also lifted the trophy for the basketball competition.

The teams were presented with several products from Promasidor, the headline sponsors.

Promasidor, the leading provider of high-quality food products across various regions in Africa despite serving the participating schools and spectators with breakfast also gave to the winners boxes of several products.
