Ghana international Alidu Seidu was given the marching orders on Saturday as Clermont Foot succumbed to defeat against RC Lens in the French Ligue 1.
The Black Stars defender was sent off before the halftime break at the Stade Gabriel Montpied. Clermont Foot paid for Seidu’s red card after suffering a 3-0 home defeat to Lens in the week 13 clash.
The first half of the game produced three red cards with Seidu and his coach Pascal Gastien receiving the marching orders in the much-anticipated encounter. Elye Wahi, who opened the scoring for Lens was also red carded in the game.
France international Elye Wahi opened the scoring for Lens after just 11 minutes into the game as they went to recess with the advantage.
Lens sealed victory in the second half after Adrien Thomasson and Wesley found the back of the net to propel their outfit to a resounding win.
Compatriot Salis Abdul Samed lasted 66 minutes for the RC Lens.
