Chief Executive Officer for the World Music Business and Art Festival (WomBa-Fest), Frederick Duncan popularly known in the music industry as 'Samaro Africa' has portrayed his organization to be one which prioritizes the welfare of musicians, particularly old artistes in the country.
He remarked that majority of veteran musicians in Ghana are in adjust suffering after years of dedicated service to the creative art industry.
Frederick Duncan admonished in an interview with Sompa TV's Eric Annan that for this reason, WomBa-Fest has thought it wise to set up an insurance package to assist veteran Ghanaian artistes who appears handicapped to ease off their struggles.
He relayed this at the official launch of WomBa-Fest in Cape Coast on Saturday.
The CEO then entreated musicians in Ghana to embrace WomBa-Fest, as it has come to assist them actualize their musical dreams.
WomBa-Fest is an organization which seizes to provide a stage for performers to showcase their talent, connect with international collaborators, and receive expert management.
It also sort to create an enabling platform for businessmen and Ghanaian artistes to sell their craft outside the country through its annual art festival, by providing industry players the international connections desired.
The colorful event launch, witnessed revered personalities like Ras Caleb Appiah-Levi, the Founding President of Pan-African Ghana, Kenny Sax GH, Administrator for WomBa-Fest, Nana Kofi Adu, Albert Dontwi, the National Sales Manager for Premium Insurance, Okofo Ataapim Kweenu IX, Chief of Woraba, among many others.
Okofo Ataapim Kweenu IX, Chief of Woraba who doubled as Chairman for the occasion, advised musicians across the country to eschew every form of drug abuse, cautioning that it will do their career no good but destroy it at the long run.
Ras Caleb Appiah-Levi, Founding President of Pan-African Ghana and the immediate past Chairman for MUSIGA in Accra, commended organizers of WomBa-Fest and appealed on the government, Ghana Tourism Authority, and corporate entities to assist the organization in its scheduled events, particularly its maiden one slated for November-December this year to promote tourism in Ghana, Africa, and beyond.
