Multiple award-winning Ghanaian highlife artiste, Ronald Kwaku Dei Appiah, popularly known in showbiz as 'Bisa Kdei', has revealed deep genesis to his music career.
Narrating his story to Dj Qwequ on Elmina-based Ahomka FM, he hinted on how he started with a group named Boys In Serious Action (BISA), which was made up of a rapper and two singers.
According to the highlife artiste, he revealed that he once opted to rap but wasn’t happy with the ability of rapping but decided to subsequently channel his energy into singing because he later discovered himself as a highlife artiste instead of a rapper.
“I started with a group made up of one rapper and two singers. I was a singer, but I later felt like doing rap. I was never impressed with my rapping style. It was dull to me, so I quickly got back to singing because I saw myself as a pure highlife artiste and not a rapper,” he noted.
He further added that his other reason in focusing more on singing is to enable him sell highlife music more than ever.
