The newly appointed minority leader in Parliament, Dr Cassiel Ato Forson has called on minority caucus and the entire NDC party supporters to remain calm and allow peace to prevail as new leadership takes office.
Addressing the media this morning in Parliament, the newly appointed leader of the minority said, he would do everything possible to build unity among the caucus so as to foster effectiveness of their mandate as a responsible opposition in Parliament.
Dr Ato Forson also used the occasion to thank the Party executives for entrusting their hopes in the new leadership and promise to work for the betterment of the party and Ghana at large.
The leader sounded a caution to President Akuafo-Addo not to add a single minister to the existing ministers as he intends reshuffling his government anytime soon, he indicated that, the minority will not make any approval additional ministers.
Dr Cassiel Ato Forson urged President Akuafo-Addo to live a life that reflects the true state of Ghana's economy, by reducing his profiligate spending and live within his means.
The ranking member on the finance committee who is now the Minority Leader concluded that, the finance committee and the committee on health will ensure that ,there is a public hearing on how the COVID-19 funds was used by the government.
