Lawyer Seth Agyapong Mensah, parliamentary hopeful for Hemang Lower Denkyira Constituency in the Central Region in the ongoing National Democratic Congress parliamentary primaries has rubbished claims made by the party's Movement for Positive Action (MoFPA) over the legitimacy of his NDC membership.
The pressure group (MoFPA) has beseeched the party's Regional Vetting Committee in its earlier held press conference to disqualify the lawyer for bearing two membership cards with different identification numbers to which his ID number J210040024 belongs to a different member within the constituency.
According to Adolf Onomah Acquah, Convener of MoFPA who doubles as a former Hemang Lower Denkyira NDC Secretary at the presser labeled the law practitioner to be a member of the NDC's political arch-rival New Patriotic Party (NPP), but crossed carpet for a specific agenda hence call for his disqualification.
Lawyer Seth Agyapong Mensah addressing MoFPA's allegation of impersonation to Sompa TV/FM reporter Eric Annan discarded the claim and said, he's a learned law practitioner and knows the consequences of the tagged act, hence can never indulge in such.
The law practitioner further challenged the pressure group to prove their claim of him being an NPP member with the card he then bore and not by hearsay or mere speculations.
He, therefore, remarked the action resorted to by MoFPA to be necessitated by the fear he poses to colleague aspirant, Foster Joseph Andoh in their parliamentary race.
The practicing lawyer again preached to unite everybody devoid of the individual's camp, including those castigating for his disqualification should he succeed in the constituency's MP seat.
