Alhaji Masawudu Osman, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) National third (3rd) Vice Chairman has downplayed the opposition NDC's chances in winning the Kumawu by-election.
The Kumawu by-election comes off Tuesday, May 23 and the ballot paper has Ernest Yaw Anim, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) candidate as the first, followed by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate, Kwasi Amankwaa, then followed by two independent candidates in that order.
The by-election is coming off following the demise of the late MP, Philip Basoah, who died in March and was buried Saturday, May 20.
Alhaji Osman explained, Ghanaians have a high level of confidence in the Akuffo Addo led NPP government to deliver on its mandate than the NDC.
According to him, "the President's comment to handover power to NPP elected President is right because the policies and programmes put in place by this government speaks for itself."
Speaking to Omanhene Yaw Adu Boakye, host of Sompa Ade Akyea Abiaa show on Sompa TV Monday May 22, Alhaji Osman revealed that President Akuffo Addo don't want to handover power to any incompetent government who will jeopardize the solid foundation laid for the development of the country by this government.
"Since the exit of the former President Jerry John Rawlings, the NDC hasn't been strong again. Ghanaians really like NPP that's why we always deliver on our mandates", he stated.
