The Member of Parliament for Gomoa West Constituency in the Central Region of Ghana, Hon. Richard Gyan-Mensah has called on the Nana Addo-led government to swiftly attend to his area's deplorable road networks.
He dished out to the government not to wait till his death before such project will be rushed upon as witnessed recently at Kumawu in the Ashanti Region.
According to him, he's not dying anytime soon for a repetition of Kumawu's hasty road construction to hit Gomoa West.
Speaking in an interview to Sompa News' Eric Annan, the MP noted that indigenes of Gomoa West never bargained for bad roads when voting massively to elect Nana Addo in his respective terms in office as president.
He lamented, Gomoa West isn't experiencing the developmental works it ought to get as he disclosed the constituency of having no major developmental projects under the Nana Addo administration aside the ongoing Mamford sea-defence project.
The lawmaker added that contractors assigned for the construction of various roads within the constituency have all abandoned their work over poor working condition by the government.
He further recounted the voter population of Gomoa West to be 76,000 which he declared to be more than double the population of Kumawu where the government recently went to construct roads.
Hence requires of the President to shift his attention to Gomoa West to have their deplorable roads fixed and not wait for the MP to die before such move will be effected.
