Mubarik Abdullah, an accountant, has filed his nomination forms to contest the Parliamentary candidature position of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Sunyani West Municipality of the Bono region.
The former Zonal deputy youth organiser from 1998 to 2002, former Zonal Youth organiser at Fiapre from 2002 to 2009, filed his forms on Saturday December 23 at the party's office at Odomase.
Speaking to Sompa FM in Sunyani after the successful filing of his nomination, the former constituency Campaign team member in the 2020 general election said the decision is to serve the people as the constituents are glamoring for change.
Among some of his achievements for the party, Mr Abdullah mentioned the donation of 1,200 T-Shirts during the 2020 election.
He added that he was in Charge of Fiapre zone during the function of Fiapre Zonal office, Function of Nsuatre Zonal office, Function of Chiraa Zonal office and Establishing party foot soldiers into apprenticeship.
"The grassroots know me for the payment of school fees of party foot soldiers in various tertiary institutions, providing farming inputs to party people who are into farming, paying medical bills to sick party people and also providing financial and Logistical support to party selected candidates for Assembly elections."
"My role in ensuring unity in the party is overwhelming. I am responsible for bringing all 38 Electoral Area coordinators together every year to franternise and also foster unity for the growth of the party. This has never happened in the history of the party in Sunyani west", he stressed.
The parliamentary primaries is scheduled to take place on Saturday, January 27, 2024.
