Assembly Members of the Hemang Lower Denkyira District in the Central Region have overwhelming voted hundred percent to confirm the area's District Chief Executive (DCE) nominee, Nana Kweku Abban to the Assembly.
The well attended poll, saw all twenty-five (25) Assembly Members present, comprising of 3 minority members, 14 majority members and 8 government appointees all vote yes in confirmation of the DCE nominee, whose appointment by government sparked massive controversies few days back.
Revered personalities who trooped to grace the widely monitored event include the Central Regional Minister, Hon. Justina Marigold Assan, District Heads of the Assembly as well as chiefs of the area.
Asserting his profound gratitude to the Assembly Members, Nana Kweku Abban, the newly elected Hemang Lower Denkyira DCE said to recognize the weight of responsibility associated with his newly found role, but assured to serve with integrity, compassion and dedication.
The elected Hemang Lower Denkyira DCE urged members of the Assembly to be team players, as he believes in the power of collaboration and inclusivity.
He assured to work tirelessly to represent the interest of all constituents to have the opportunity to tackle problems facing the District head-on and to create positive change for the betterment of all.
Hon. Justina Marigold Assan, Minister for the Central Region afterwards thanked members of the Assembly for their overwhelming endorsement for the nominee DCE.
She described the act exhibited by Assembly Members of the area to be a clear indication that they are poised to move the District to the next level.
The Honourable Minister then encouraged members of the Assembly to stay together and work collectively to ensure the development they seek.

Napoleon Owusu Asante Adjei, Presiding Member for the Hemang Lower Denkyira District Assembly who doubles as Assemblyman for Hemang West Electoral Area on his account, sounded a note of caution to those that delight in the dismay of the District to refrain from that act, else be consumed by prayers offered to see the betterment of the District.
