Deputy National Communications Officer for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Malik Basintale has described the performance of the Vice President, Dr. Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia as one who is unwealthy to have him steer the affairs of Ghana as its next president, having messed up the country's economy with Nana Akufo-Addo being his driver.
He recalled Dr. Bawumia's firm assurance to Ghanaians to arrest the dollar, but bemoaned an exact opposite to the promise made, as a dollar now is equivalent to GH¢13, whereas unemployment rate now stands at %14.7, having had the Vice President as leader to the economic management team.
These according to the NDC Deputy National Communications Officer, justifies the reason why Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia's performance deems him unfit to succeed Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo as the next president, having had the country's driver himself fail, how much more his mate.
He said all this after a 24-Hour Economy walk through the principal streets of the Asikuma-Odoben-Brakwa District in the Central Region.
He again made mention of some major projects the people of the Central Region have benefited from the former president John Dramani Mahama like roads, the Kotokraba Market, the Komenda Sugar Factory, E- Blocks among others. Hence the need to reinstate the NDC flagbearer as the next president of Ghana.
Hon. Alhaji Alhassan Kobina Ghansah, the Member of Parliament for Asikuma-Odoben-Brakwa District on his account added to have carried out lot of developmental projects within his three years in office, aside the fact that he's constructing a 30-bed children's ward at the Brakwa Polyclinic to aid in the area's healthcare delivery.
He further noted to be paying a number of hospital bills his people can't afford of which he promised to do more for his constituents.
