The National Democratic Congress (NDC) women's wing of the Komenda-Edina-Eguafo-Abrem (KEEA) Constituency in the Central Region has assured John Dramani Mahama, the party's flagbearer for the 2024 general election of an emphatic victory at the constituency over the nomination of their very own, Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang as his running mate.
According to them, Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang's running mate nomination has sort to draw women in the party into the light, as they were formerly left unnoticed.
For this reason, they pledged to work tirelessly to ensure victory for John Dramani Mahama and the NDC as a political party in the 2024 general election over the trust bestowed in women in the party.
Ms. Vivian Sortoh, the NDC Women's Organizer for KEEA speaking at a press conference held at Elmina-Las Palmas, expressed that the nomination of Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang signifies that women in the NDC can equally be useful to task.
She reaffirmed the women's wing commitment to do everything within its might to ensure that John Dramani Mahama is elected again to become the president of Ghana, as she pounced on the nomination of Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang to encourage women across the country, never to despise themselves of having no value with regards to developmental duties.
The Deputy Central Regional Women's Organizer for the NDC, Madam Janet Quansah at the occasion, relayed the region's women's wing to see Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang already as a Vice President and not a running mate, following her immense knowledge in education which will be of great help to the country, particularly to the party's 24-hour economy initiative.
Ibrahim Mbrana, a fisherfolk of Elmina-Las Palmas who on behalf of his colleagues addressed the media, urged members of the NDC to make John Dramani Mahama proud over his decision to settle on Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, who appears a true daughter of Komenda to be his running mate, by shunning any form of skirt and blouse voting to vote handsomely for the NDC in the upcoming general election.
