Some thirteen (13) orphan constituencies of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has been adopted by Mr Bernard Oduro Takyi, a certified chartered economist and a National Youth Working Committee member of the NDC as his personal initiative.
According to Mr Oduro Takyi, the project is his personal initiative that aims to support the 13 Orphan constituencies towards Victory on 7th December, 2024.
The project would comprise a support of cash donation of GHS10,000 each as soon as the respective constituencies launch its 2024 Parliamentary campaign.
"As part of this personal initiative, I would also support the orphan constituencies with stakeholders, media and communities engagements in each constituency," Mr Oduro Takyi explained in an interview with Sompaonline.com.
The orphan constituencies include Dormaa East, Sunyani West, Sunyani East and Berekum West constituencies of the Bono region, Mpohor and Essikado Ketan constituencies of the Western region, Dome Kwabenya in the Greater Accra region and the Asunafo North constituency of the Ahafo region.
The rest are Sefwi Akontombra in the Western North region, Mfantseman in the Central region, Techiman South in the Bono East region, Zabzugu and Tatale in the Northern region.
The outspoken member of the party indicated when he started his campaign in the Mfantseman constituency in Central Region on Friday April 19th 2024 that a vote for the NDC is a vote for the progress, development and second independence of the country.
He stressed, "2024 general elections is a communal labour, we must all do our part to wrestle power from this "Ma Me Bisaa" Akuffo Addo- Bawumia led NPP government."
He canvassed for votes for Dr Prince Arhin, the NDC Mfantseman constituency Parliamentary candidate during community engagements at Mankessim, Saltpond, Anomabo, Biriwa, Yamoranse, Eguase, Dominase and Kyeakor.
