Assembly Member for the Ridge Nhyiaso Electoral Area in the Kumasi Metropolis of the Ashanti region, Hon. Abraham Boadi popularly known as Opooman has advised the ruling NPP to rather concentrate on completing all the abandoned market projects if the party was serious in breaking the eight 8.
According to him, most of the people in Kumasi are traders and would rather need markets to facilitate trading and not airports which do not have huge impact on the traders in Kumasi.
He stressed that there were more than 20,000 traders in Kumasi who are already jobless and stranded due to the current state of the markets in the region.
He retorted that the NPP would rather maximize their votes if they concentrate on completing the many market projects abandoned in the Kumasi metropolis adding that the impact of the stalled market projects were more profound compared to airports which has no significant repercussions on the economy of Ashanti Region.
On the alleged missing 3.6 million Funds meant for the contruction of the Krofrom market redevelopment, Assembly Member for the Ridge Nhyiaso Electoral Area Hon. Abraham Boadi said the accusations aimed at the former Major of KMA Hon. Osei Assibey Antwi for unilaterally entering into agreement with the Fidelity Bank over the controversial 3.6 million cedis meant for the contractor in charge of the Krofrom redevelopment market was a complete useless.
He indicated that handing over documents handed of the former major Hon. Osei Assibey Antwi to Hon. Sam Pyne after assumption in office spelt the terms and conditions of the contract and sees the move by some faceless officers at the Assembly to tarnish the image of Hon. Osei Assibey Antwi as a failure because the said money in contention did not come from the KMA coffers but Manhyia.
Speaking to SOMPA NEWS on the missing money, he rather accused Hon. Sam Pyne for rather sleeping on the job looking at the rate at which he finds solace in travelling outside the country at the expense of the needs of the people.
