The Electoral Commission has confirmed Lawrence Kwabena Agyinsam, CEO of Exim Bank as the New Patriotic Party's parliamentary candidate for Twifo Hemang Lower Denkyira Constituency in the Central Region for the upcoming 2024 general election after a successful filing of nomination forms.

Filing of the nomination forms on Monday, September 9, 2024, was in conformity to a directive by the EC to all parliamentary candidates and flagbearers of respective political parties across the country.

Meanwhile, that of Lawrence Kwabena Agyinsam commenced with a mammoth float through the principal streets of Jukwa, through to the district's EC office.

The filing of nomination forms of the parliamentary candidate, garnered esteemed party personalities like the constituency's District Chief Executive, NPP Executives of the constituency, Council of Patron Members, the NPP Central Regional Women's Organizer, the NPP Central Regional Treasurer among several others.

Lawrence Agyinsam after his form filing, implored EC officials at the district to remain the impartial and fair entity the country knowns of, to ensure a free and transparent general election come December 7, 2024.

Efeh Ephson, the District EC Officer for Twifo Hemang Lower Denkyira recounted two candidates to have filed for nomination on the day of form filing.

Namely, the parliamentary candidate for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Lawyer Seth Agyapong Mensah and that of the NPP PC, as no Independent Candidate filed to contest in the district.

She took the opportunity to advise both parliamentary candidates to caution their supporters to shun any sort of violence, but be peaceful in their campaign dealings and hoped for a peaceful 2024 election in the district.

Aliu Sumaila, NPP Organizer for Twifo Hemang Lower Denkyira and Personal Assistant to Lawrence Agyinsam in a media engagement, remarked the PC to be one driven by the passion to serve, having grown to become a household name in the district through his selfless dedication and unwavering support offered constituents in the last twenty years, even before his election as first time PC for this year's election.

DCE for the constituency, Hon. Nana Kweku Abban in adding his voice, eulogized the number of constituents who trooped to follow Lawrence Agyinsam file his nomination forms to the EC, attest to it that the PC is a unifier who through the spirit of oneness, has drawn all onboard to the common goal of retaining the parliamentary and presidential seats for the NPP in the upcoming polls.
