Electorates in the Sunyani East constituency of the Bono region has for the first time voted massively for the 2024 Parliamentary candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Seid Mubarak.
Popularly known as Sunyani East JJ, Seid Mubarak, the first time contender made history with 34,456 votes as against the MP who had 22,306.
Mr. Kwasi Ameyaw-Cheremeh, has been the Member of Parliament (MP) for 16 years in Sunyani East.
The Peoples' National Convention (PNC)'s Mr. Alanyina Sampana Sampson had 222 votes.
Mr. Ransford Antwi, the Independent Candidate pulled 8,294 votes.
Total vote cast in the 260 polling stations was 63,717 with 917 being rejected.
