Shocking news as Ghanaian footballer robbed, home ransacked
A local footballer in Ghana has had his home pillaged, leaving him in a piteous state according to sompa sports pundit, Michael Asare Boadu.
The player, Emmanuel Acheampong is a defender currently on the books of Ghana Division One League side, Nations FC who are housed in Zone 2 of the country's second tier league.
The said incident occurred in the wee hours of January 10 when the above-mentioned player wasn't available at his place of abode at Kronum in the Ashanti Region.
During the theft, Acheampong lost valuable items including jewelry, some expensive clothing, pairs of sneakers, football boots, medals, 2 ipPhones, cash, credit cards, and other identification cards.
The incident has left the Nations FC defender terrified and fearing for his life as he ponders what happens next.
Nations FC are bidding to secure qualification to the Ghana Premier League and Emmanuel Acheampong has been one of their reliable contributors on the pitch.
This sad development is likely to impact negatively on his psyche as he fears his security and safety.
