Management of VIP Jeoun Transport Company Limited has denied reports linking the company to an accident on the Accra–Kumasi Highway within the last 24 hours.
In a media release, the company stated that it has “not reported any incident on the Accra–Kumasi Highway in the last 24 hours,” contrary to claims circulating on some media platforms.
According to the statement, the reported accident attributed by some outlets including TV3 and Oyerepa FM to sources from the Suhum Municipal Fire Service “has nothing to do with VIP Jeoun Transport.”
The company further indicated that available public records from the Ghana Police Service at Suhum do not mention VIP Jeoun as being involved in the incident.
“VIP Jeoun has not reported any incident on the Accra–Kumasi Highway in the last 24 hours,” the statement emphasised.
Despite distancing itself from the incident, the company expressed sympathy to victims, stating, “Notwithstanding, we offer our condolences to families who lost their loved ones in that incident.”
Management reaffirmed its commitment to safety, noting that the company remains dedicated to maintaining high operational standards across its intercity services.
VIP Jeoun is one of Ghana’s major transport operators, serving multiple destinations nationwide.
