"I no longer have patience for certain things, not because I've become arrogant, but simply because I reached a point in my life where I do not want to waste more time, with what degrades or hurts me. I have no patience for cynicism, excessive criticism and demands of any nature. I lost the will to please those who do not like me, to love those who do not love me. I no longer spend a single minute on those who lie or want to manipulate. I decided not to coexist anymore with pretence, hypocrisy, dishonesty and cheap praise. I do not adjust either to popular gossiping. I hate conflict and comparisons. In friendship, I dislike the lack of loyalty and betrayal. Rev McAbraham.
Gospel music legend, Reverend McAbraham has touched on many areas of his life in an interview with Tofiakwa on the Sompa Tv/ Fm program dubbed "Na minim".
The Reverend Minister revealed that at the early ages of his music career, his songs were based on his creation and not from God.
"I was once a humanist, I didn't believe in anything by grace from God, I trusted in my intuitions, I did everything on my own, even though I trusted in God, I was on my own, he said.
Humanism is an approach to life-based on reason and our common humanity, recognizing that moral values are properly founded on human nature and experience alone.
"About 98 per cent of Gospel musicians today are bedmatics, that's why their marriages are collapsing, it's proper to solely rely on the promise of God and not on your own, marriage is from God and should be kept holy, he said.
I have come to understand that, I can't do it on my own, look, at a point I released a secular song, even though, people perceived it was a gospel song, but candidly speaking, within me, I knew it was secular, this is because there was no divine direction as compared to those I have been releasing when I came in contact with God, he stressed.
McAbraham is the founder and leader of Crystal Life Chapel and has about 19 albums and EPs to his credit.
