Known in the movie industry as komfour College, born Collins Oteng Duah to Mr and Mrs Duah, and hailing from Santasi Apre-Ampatia has shared his life story in an interview with Mr Collins Amo-Poku whom he describes as a brother.
The movie icon in a television interview with Tofiakwa as he affectionately called on Sompa Tv social program dubbed "Na Mennim" said, he was born into a well-to-do family but as time progresses, fortunes turned into misfortunes and the unexpected happened.
According to him, life has been a challenge, having to stay with people without her parents as a result of migration became the agony of his life journey.
Being the second born and the only male among his 3 other siblings, he has to endure a life-threatening before God finally saw him through. He confessed to Tofiakwa that had it not been for his mother, he wouldn't have had the career he is having because they considered him an outcast among his peers.
My mother stood up for me, she made sure what they say don’t get to me, she's all I have and the only backbone of my career.
I received a lot of backlashes, criticized and at a point, I was told I can't make it in my career, he wept.
My first movie was "Obiaa ba nye" but I don’t want to talk about it because this movie nearly sent me back to where I was, I remember I had to rehearse for a whole year, finally I was cast, when the movie came out, I gathered all my friends, including those who taught I could not make any life out of my movie career and made sure that I was the first person to have a copy, unfortunately, I didn't appear in that movie, I nearly collapsed, I received the worst insult in my life, I don't talk about this because it's my career-threatening tragedy, he said.
He further said it took an intervention of a man he met sometime to revive his career. "Amid my career predicament, I was very down, a producer chanced on me and asked what has happened, I narrated everything to him and he encourage me not to give up.
I listened to him and here I am today, he emphasized.
