The communication director for the newly elected chairman of Ashanti Region New Patriotic Party, Mr Dennis Kwakwa has lambasted Oheneba Asiedu of Wontumi FM / TV for his sheepishly comment on facebook.

Distancing the Wontumi campaign team from the sluggish comment by the renowned journalist, Mr Kwakwa asserted, that the comment made by the Journalist do not depict the actions and manner of the campaign team and Chairman Wontumi.

 On sompa Tv morning show with Omanhene Yaw Adu Boakye on monday 30th May, the Ashanti Regional Nabco coordinator said,that the communication and campaign team together with Chairman Wontumi distance ourselves from the silly comment made by Wontumi morning show host.

“It’s not appropriate to say that, it doesn’t depict who the chairman is, it’s silly and shouldn’t be tolerated, who ever is listening should inform him, we distance ourselves”, He said

The comment passed by the host of Wontumi Morning show host has generated a lot of concerns in the media space. It’s alleged that certain media houses especially in the Ashanti Region took a stand against the incumbent chairman ahead of the NPP delegates conference.

Chairman Antwi Bosiako has maintained his seat in the race of the chairmanship position in the region after beating his close contender, Odeneho Kwaku Appiah.
