Students of the Colleges of Education across the country have been left to cook for themselves over the indefinite strike action by the Non-Teaching Staff of the colleges.

The workers have laid down their tools since April 11, 2022 on five major issues which the government and the Labor Commission have failed to meet their conditions of service. These conditions include: Failure to place First Degree Holders at Point 17 instead at Point 16, Migration Arrears, Generic Allowances, Non-Payment of Office Holding Allowances and Non-payment of Interim Market Premium Arrears.
