The National Union of Ghana Students (NUGS) under the leadership of Master Dennis Appiah Larbi Ampofo has secured fully funded scholarship opportunity for Ghana students at the University of Port Harcourt in Nigeria.
The scholarship opportunity,will cover 10 students who are ready to read PhD programs in the following doctoral degree fields.
1. Petroleum engineering
2. Chemical engineering
3. Petroleum/Energy Economics
4. Geosciences
5. Occupational Health and Safety
6. Microbiology
7. Chemistry
8. Plant Science and Biotechnology
9. Other related Science and Engineering Courses
This initiative is in line with the many promises made by the newly elected president, Dennis Appiah Larbi Ampofo to foster the growth of the Union, and to give Ghanaian students the exposure to cross path with other countries in the educational sector.
The individuals are also expected to possess a relevant M.Sc degree from an accredited institution in Ghana with a CGPA of 4.0 and above on a scale of 5 and a minimum CGPA of 3.0 on a scale of 5 in their first degree or its equivalent degree.
Barely four days into office, has the Nyagyedie led administration shown signs of living up to expectations as over Ten million Ghanaian students are under the tutelage guide of this new administration.
